Job description
- Perform manual functional testing including black box and grey box testing.
- Analyze requirements and collaborate with Business Analysts (BAs) and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs).
- Review and understand functional and technical design documents to develop effective test scripts.
- Design, create, and execute test cases based on identified test conditions.
- Prepare and manage test data required for execution.
- Execute manual and/or automation tests as per defined test plans.
- Document test results and log defects using standard defect tracking tools.
- Identify risks and report issues impacting testing timelines or quality.
- Participate in peer reviews of test cases and test plans.
- Coordinate with onshore and offshore teams for test execution and issue resolution.
- Manage day-to-day test process implementation and ensure adherence to timelines.
- Complete assigned technical and domain learning tasks within defined timelines.
Requirements
- Strong experience in manual testing and software testing lifecycle (STLC).
- Hands-on experience writing and executing SQL queries.
- Experience with test management tools such as TFS.
- Knowledge of testing methodologies and Agile development practices.
- Experience in defect reporting and management processes.
- Familiarity with multiple development methodologies (Waterfall, Iterative, Agile).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with automation testing tools (good to have).
- Exposure to enterprise-level applications and complex systems.
