Job description
As a Senior IT Architect, you will be responsible for the operational support, design, and maintenance of Infrastructure for regional workloads at Honeywell Aerospace. You will work in and support VMware, Windows & Linux Server Architecture & Administration, and Cisco networking stacks. This role also includes complimentary technology management of regional infrastructure such as physical network & backup infrastructure., * Operational support of on premise and regional technology including virtualized workloads and networks
- Facilitate the implementation of new technology stacks and migration of workloads
- Provide escalation and supplier management to Site & Business
- Support the business case development, IT transformation, and service optimization initiatives
- Ensure full adoption and implementation of Honeywell Aerospace standards, tools, processes, and strict adherence to Honeywell policies
- Partner effectively across teams, suppliers and business customers on cross-functional projects and process improvements
- Participate in site leadership meetings as an on-site focal
- Bring business requirements to the greater IT team for review, solutioning and implementation
- Support incumbent projects to the site as well as Global Standardization initiatives.
- Travel as required for infrastructure deployments and support, * Oversee and lead a team of IT architects and senior planners, providing mentorship and guidance in developing and maintaining technology architecture
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and execute high-level IT architecture strategies aligned with business objectives
- Shape planning and implementation of technology solutions meeting scalability, security, and compliance standards
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the IT architecture planning department
- Drive budget management for the IT architecture planning department
- Advocate for and enforce architecture governance to maintain consistency and compliance across projects
- Define and prioritize projects and resources to meet business objectives
Requirements
- A bachelor's Degree; preferably in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or Business-Related Discipline or comparable career experience.
- CCNA certification (CCNP desired, but not required)
- 5-7 years of experience in operational support of enterprise infrastructure ecosystem.
- Knowledge of Service Management platforms and/or methodology.
- Possess strong knowledge on Windows Server 2019/2016/2012 OS, or RHEL LINUX -8.X and Virtualization technologies such as VXRail, vSAN, and VCF/NSX.
