Job description

  • Design and implement foundational infrastructure platforms that support multiple application teams with standardized patterns and services.
  • Develop and maintain automation for infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and environment lifecycle using scripting or infrastructure-as-code tools.
  • Build and operate CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows that enforce quality gates and support frequent, reliable releases.
  • Integrate logging, metrics, and tracing into platform services to provide comprehensive observability and rapid incident response.
  • Embed security and compliance controls into platform components, including access management, encryption, and policy-as-code.
  • Provide self-service capabilities, documentation, and support so product teams can consume platform services efficiently.
  • Collaborate with DevOps, application, and security teams to prioritize platform features and refine the platform based on feedback., Compensation ranges for ASM Research positions vary depending on multiple factors; including but not limited to, location, skill set, level of education, certifications, client requirements, contract-specific affordability, government clearance and investigation level, and years of experience. The compensation displayed for this role is a general guideline based on these factors and is unique to each role. Monetary compensation is one component of ASM's overall compensation and benefits package for employees.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Approximately 8 years of experience in platform engineering or related roles such as DevOps or infrastructure engineering.
  • Strong understanding of platform engineering principles and experience with technologies such as virtualization, containerization, and cloud platforms.
  • Proficiency in automation and scripting, and experience implementing CI/CD, environment automation, and observability capabilities.
  • Knowledge of data security best practices and experience embedding security controls into infrastructure platforms.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance; U.S. citizenship required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience running an internal developer platform that offers self-service capabilities, documentation, and support for multiple product teams.
  • Experience in platform assessments, automation, and disaster recovery, with a focus on improving platform reliability and scalability.
  • Relevant certifications such as CKA or AWS Solutions Architect.
