Job description
As a Senior IT Architect, you will work alongside a bold, energetic and collaborative team. You will evaluate and coach our clients' technology teams, define technology strategies, architecture solutions and help us design the future. You will develop and grow by being exposed to new and complex challenges daily.
Together with our clients, you will develop superior digital and technology concepts and architecture solutions as well as support technical implementations actively and on site, applying your sound technical know-how, your understanding of business contexts, and your analytical and conceptual skills.
As you acquire experience, you will be responsible for owning the delivery for a specific project "module" and help develop technical concepts for that "module". You will be supported by an extensive training curriculum, plus technology-specific training and mentoring to help you build your technical skills.
Finally, as a Senior IT Architect you will contribute to the Financial Services Practice Area development and help to build the BCG brand as a key member of the case team.
Requirements
- 4 to 10 years of IT Architecture experience in IT/technology consulting, financial institutions, financial services, or banking industry.
- Hands-on experience with core banking platforms such as Temenos T24, Finacle, Mambu, FIS Profile, Avaloq, and others.
- Deep understanding of end-to-end banking processes, including customer onboarding, payments, loans, deposits, customer data management, and regulatory reporting requirements.
- Proven experience in designing and implementing microservices architectures.
- Strong understanding of SOA (Service Oriented Architecture) and APIs (REST, SOAP).
- Experience in cloud platforms for hosting core banking applications, including data concepts such as management, security, governance, databases, and integration.
- Experience modernizing legacy banking systems.
- Ability to work under pressure and willingness to travel to client sites.
- A university degree with above-average academic performance in a computer science, information technology, engineering, or a related field.
- For candidates based in The Netherlands: Fluent in English; Dutch is highly desirable.
- For candidates based in Belgium: Fluent in English, with French or Flemish as an additional requirement.
