Job description
A Software Engineer-Junior assists in designing and maintaining software solutions, focusing on Python, front-end development, and backend support. They collaborate with senior developers, learn secure coding practices, and support development tasks across the software lifecycle. This position will support future Defense & Intelligence Programs across OCONUS locations in Stuttgart, Germany. This role has anticipated start date of late May 2026., * Develop and maintain applications using JavaScript/TypeScript React or Python.
- Create front-end interfaces using React (MUI) or Streamlit.
- Develop custom API endpoints using Flask or FastAPI.
- Use SQL Alchemy to interact with Postgres databases.
- Follow GitLab version control workflows for documentation and tracking.
- Assist with software testing to maintain 80% code coverage.
- Support cybersecurity evaluations using tools like SonarQube or Trivy.
- Collaborate with senior developers on system enhancements and troubleshooting.
Requirements
- Proficient in JavaScript / TypeScript React or Python.
- Proficient in Flask or FastAPI.
- Proficient with Git.
- Proficient with SQL Alchemy.
- Proficient in JavaScript / TypeScript React and Python.
- Proficient leveraging pre-built React components using MUI.
- Familiarity working with CI/CD pipelines.
- Familiarity with Platform One (P1).
- Familiarity with Docker.
- Familiarity with AWS., * Clearance: Active TS-SCI Clearance is required.
- Experience: 0-3 years of related software development experience.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field.

This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range. Total compensation for international positions varies by tax, social security, and immigration statuses, as well as location. Generally, an international assignment may include allowances, premium uplifts, and/or relocation or transportation benefits, above base salary range noted.
