Design Release Engineer

We are seeking a Design Release Engineer (DRE) with 2-3 years of experience, preferably with exposure to Ford's WERS (Worldwide Engineering Release System). The candidate will be responsible for managing component design releases, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring timely and accurate product development within the automotive domain., * Manage end-to-end design release process for assigned components/systems

• Work with cross-functional teams including design, manufacturing, quality, and suppliers
• Create, update, and release engineering documentation using WERS
• Ensure all parts meet engineering standards, cost, quality, and timing requirements
• Track and resolve engineering issues, changes, and validations
• Support prototype builds, testing, and production launches
• Coordinate design changes and maintain BOM (Bill of Materials) accuracy
• Ensure compliance with company and customer standards (preferably Ford)

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• 2-3 years of experience as a Design Release Engineer (DRE)
• Hands-on experience with WERS (Ford system) is strongly preferred
• Understanding of automotive product development lifecycle
• Experience with CAD tools (Creo, CATIA, NX, etc.) is a plus
• Strong communication and coordination skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior experience working on Ford programs or with Ford suppliers
• Knowledge of APQP, PPAP, and change management processes
• Experience with PLM systems
