Job description
- Collect, clean, and preprocess structured and unstructured data from multiple sources
- Perform exploratory data analysis (EDA) to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies
- Develop and implement basic machine learning models under senior guidance
- Use statistical techniques to validate data insights and support decision-making
- Build data visualizations and dashboards using tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Python libraries
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, product, and business stakeholders
- Assist in deploying and monitoring models in production environments
- Document methodologies, processes, and findings clearly for stakeholders
- Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and compliance with data governance standards
Requirements
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Data Scientist to join our growing data team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in data analysis, statistical modeling, and programming, with the ability to translate business problems into data-driven solutions., * Bachelor's or master's degree in data science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field
- 0-3 years of experience in data science, data analysis, or related role
- Proficiency in Python or R
- Strong knowledge of SQL and data querying
- Understanding of machine learning algorithms (regression, classification, clustering)
- Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, Matplotlib, Seaborn)
- Familiarity with libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn
- Basic understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is a plus
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Internship or academic project experience in data science or analytics
- Exposure to big data tools (Spark, Hadoop) is an advantage
- Knowledge of version control systems like Git
