Job description

Our client, a growing name in the hi tech space is seeking a Jr to Mid level Digital / UX Designer with the ability (or eagerness to learn) to bring their work to life in Webflow.

This is a 3 month contract (40 hours a week) that is onsite in Long Beach with potential to extend.

This role blends design craft with systems thinking and hands-on execution. You'll design web pages, components, and digital experiences, while also supporting the day-to-day upkeep of our website and digital ecosystem helping to ensure everything we create is consistent, scalable, and built with intention.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design high-quality web pages, layouts, and components in Figma
  • Translate designs into clean, consistent builds in Webflow (or learn quickly)
  • Support ongoing website updates including page builds, blog posts, and content updates
  • Contribute to and help maintain our design system (components, patterns, documentation)
  • Ensure designs are thoughtful, reusable, and scalable across the ecosystem
  • Act as a steward of quality and consistency across digital touchpoints
  • Keep design files organized, structured, and aligned with development
  • Collaborate with UX, product, and engineering teams to ensure strong execution
  • Support design work across product and digital when needed

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of experience in digital, web, or product design
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating clean, thoughtful UI and web design work
  • Proficiency in Figma
  • Experience with Webflow, or similar no-code visual website builder
  • Solid understanding of layout, typography, and interaction design
  • Systems thinking - ability to design with components, patterns, and reuse in mind
  • Basic understanding of how designs translate to front-end (HTML/CSS fundamentals)
  • Detail-oriented with a strong sense of craft and consistency

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working within or contributing to a design system
  • Experience designing and building marketing or content-driven websites
  • Familiarity with email design or newsletter workflows
  • Light front-end development experience
