Design Engineer in Decatur

Position Purpose: - The main function of a mechanical engineer is to research and investigate the design, functionality and maintenance of mechanical products, equipment, systems and processes., * Must have a background supporting for root cause investigation of field issues, design of solutions, release and implementation of solutions.

• Must have solid mechanical aptitude, must have experience with new product concepts, design development, and implementation.
• Must have experience in CREO modeling and drawings for designs;
• Must have solid FMEA, APQP and PPAP support.
• Knowledge of rotating component design; someone with drivetrain design would be the best fit, but is not required (specifically designing axles - differentials and/or braking systems).
• There will be a high volume of hands-on work in this role; must have exceptional communication skills because this group has a level of support and collaboration.

Education/Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering required.

• 6-8 years experience required.
