Job description

We are looking for a motivated Junior Data Analyst to join our team in New Jersey. In this role, you will support data-driven decision-making by gathering, analyzing, and interpreting datasets. Roles & Responsibilities

Gather and consolidate data from internal and external sources
Clean, preprocess, and validate datasets for analysis
Perform basic statistical analysis to identify trends and insights
Create reports, dashboards, and visualizations for business users
Assist in designing and maintaining databases and data systems
Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand reporting needs
Document processes, data definitions, and workflows
Support ongoing data quality checks and improvements

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field
0-3 years of relevant experience (including internships or academic projects)
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced formulas, data analysis tools)
Working knowledge of SQL for data extraction and manipulation
Familiarity with at least one visualization tool (Power BI, Tableau, or similar)
Basic understanding of data analysis concepts and statistics
Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking abilities
Good written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Skills

Knowledge of Python or R for data analysis
Exposure to data warehousing or cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud)
Experience working with large datasets
Understanding of business intelligence concepts, * Detail-oriented and curious about data
Eager to learn new tools and technologies
Ability to work independently and in a team setting
Strong organizational and time-management skills
