Job description
We are looking for a motivated Junior Data Analyst to join our team in New Jersey. In this role, you will support data-driven decision-making by gathering, analyzing, and interpreting datasets. Roles & Responsibilities
- Gather and consolidate data from internal and external sources
- Clean, preprocess, and validate datasets for analysis
- Perform basic statistical analysis to identify trends and insights
- Create reports, dashboards, and visualizations for business users
- Assist in designing and maintaining databases and data systems
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand reporting needs
- Document processes, data definitions, and workflows
- Support ongoing data quality checks and improvements
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field
- 0-3 years of relevant experience (including internships or academic projects)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced formulas, data analysis tools)
- Working knowledge of SQL for data extraction and manipulation
- Familiarity with at least one visualization tool (Power BI, Tableau, or similar)
- Basic understanding of data analysis concepts and statistics
- Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking abilities
- Good written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of Python or R for data analysis
- Exposure to data warehousing or cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud)
- Experience working with large datasets
- Understanding of business intelligence concepts, * Detail-oriented and curious about data
- Eager to learn new tools and technologies
