Job description
As a Network Administrator, you'll join a top-notch team in support of NAVAIR's new Simulators at Sea (S@S) system. This system increases aviator readiness and is the first integrated training capability for an air wing to deploy on a Navy carrier. Get in on the ground floor of an exciting DoD initiative!, * Implementing operating systems and network device security configuration in accordance with Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) approved Security Technical Implementation Guides.
- Specifying, configuring, and administering boundary devices (i.e., managed switches, proxy servers, routers, firewalls, cryptography, and intrusion detection systems); managing remote switches and routing.
- Performing vulnerability assessments using Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS), Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG), the Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP) Compliance Checker, incorporating automated Benchmarks.
- Correcting flaws and implementing technical controls in the hardware or software installed within the network environment.
- Managing, architecting, and implementing physical networks to include logical need to know separation between data.

Requirements
Security Clearance Requirement: Active Secret with the ability to obtain a TS clearance.
Telework Eligible? No, work will be performed 100% on-site., * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Management, or related IA/CS technology area of study required. Additional, related experience may be considered in lieu of a bachelor's degree.
- 6 years of experience as a network engineer/architect and computer systems administrator.
- Demonstrated experience using the DoD Information Assurance Vulnerability Management Program (IAVMP) is required.
- Working knowledge of Ethernet, Fiber Distributed Data Interface (FDDI), TCP/IP, CISCO IOS, Inside Plant (ISP), and Outside Plant (OSP).
- Demonstrated proficiency with Visio for LNDs.
- Experience with Multi-Level Security is a plus.
- Knowledge of basic networking set such as CCNA or equivalent and experience/training with CISCO NX-OS.
Certification Requirements:
Candidates must meet DoD 8140-M Intermediate level qualification requirements: BS degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or Software Engineering - OR - one of the following certifications: CompTia Security+, Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), CompTia Cloud+, etc. (click the link above for the full list). At a minimum, candidates must hold a Security+ certification (or higher) to be considered. Please upload copies of your relevant industry certifications.

Benefits & conditions
- The anticipated annual salary range for this position is $125,000 - $155,000, commensurate with an individual's experience, qualifications, and skill set.
