System Engineer

In order to support the department System Integration Rigs, Airbus Defence and Space is looking for a

FCAS2023 - System Engineer (d/m/f)

The department "System Integration Rigs" is responsible for the Avionics, Flight Control and Hydraulics test equipment which are used for Qualification and Certification of the different fighter aircraft systems. A System Engineer has the responsibility for system/subsystem design in the area of test facility development.

This role is also available with reduced weekly hours and an adapted scope of tasks., * Analysis of client / customer requirements (specifications)

• Creation of the system and subsystem concept and design, taking into account the existing product reference architecture and compliance with the applicable norms and standards
• Preparation of the technical requirements documentation (specifications) for approval by the client / customer
• Monitoring of downstream development and construction tasks to ensure interoperability and functionality
• Supervision of production, including monitoring of material procurement and supplier activities
• System/subsystem integration and qualification monitoring as well as product safety compliance
• Assistance in the preparation of offers and cost estimates and schedule planning
• Continuous improvement and expansion of the product reference architecture based on new technologies

• You have a successfully completed studies in System Engineering, Electrical Engineering or similar or a comparable training followed by several years of professional experience
• At least 5 years of relevant professional experience
• Professional experience in context of requirements, change management and system design of aviation systems or test facilities
• Knowledge and experience in the field of Model based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and system engineering tools such as DOORS, Cameo, Jira, 3DExperience Tool Suite, Capital
• Practical experience in system integration and in conducting qualification, verification and validation tests is desirable
• Knowledge of industry standards such as EN61010 / EN62368 and aviation industry standards such as EN9100, DO-178C, DO-330
• You have very good communication skills in German and English (written and spoken), This job requires an awareness of any potential compliance risks and a commitment to act with integrity, as the foundation for the Company's success, reputation and sustainable growth.
