Lawo, based in Rastatt, Germany, is an innovative, leading supplier of professional audio, video and control solutions to the world-wide broadcast market. We develop and manufacture our products in Germany and support them with a global Customer Support Team., As engineer for automated QA and DevOps integration, you will work at the intersection of Audio, Video, and Control R&D, ensuring that Lawo's professional broadcast solutions deliver highest reliability and performance. You will design, execute and automate tests for hardware, firmware and software components used in mission-critical broadcast environments worldwide. You will also contribute to the journey of these environments toward a containerized private or public cloud infrastructure., * Create test plans and test cases for automated execution, monitor progress and create test reports and documentation
- Create and maintain test tools, test environments and test systems for automated and hybrid tests
- Collaborate closely with R&D from feature concept through product release
- Conduct integration, regression and system tests, define acceptance criteria
- Organize platform transitions from virtualized or baremetal environments to cloud-ready containerized environments
- Analyze customer-reported issues and reproduce them efficiently
- Support continuous improvement of QA processes, tools and documentation
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science or relevant experience
- Strong technical expertise with focus on broadcast applications, experience with Lawo products is a plus
- Experience with cloud-based infrastructure (docker, Kubernetes, Server Clustering, Redundancy Strategies, etc.)
- Experience with broadcast standards (ST2110, AES67, RAVENNA) is a strong plus
- Strong knowledge of script laguages for test control and configuration
- Strong knowledge of test methods, and R&D related tools ( Gitea, Jira, Confluence, MS 365, etc.) and best practices, ISTQB certificate is a plus
- Operating system experience with MS Windows, MacOS and Linux (CLI)
- Strong communication skills for collaboration with peers and product and process stakeholders. English is required, German is a plus
- Analytic thinking and strong focus on effectivity and efficiency
