Job description

  • Develop project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
  • Identify key risks and critical objectives; develop engineering approaches and designs to drive out risk and ensure the solution is successful
  • Facilitate workshops and meetings such as risk analysis, pre-mortems, technical design workshops and requirements elicitation
  • Provide leadership to other engineers, including prioritisation of critical or high risk components
  • Design and plan the lifecycle approach for complex projects and programmes
  • Train and advise clients in Systems Engineering or Technical Architecture best practice
  • Organise and coordinate technical resources and third parties / vendors for the flawless execution of projects including delivery assurance and integration
  • Oversee the effective delivery of projects, ensuring they remain within scope and budget with managed risk
  • Creation and maintenance of engineering artefacts such as system models, plans, requirements, integration logic, test methodologies, etc.
  • Manage changes in project scope, schedule and costs with the help of appropriate verification techniques
  • Prepare reports and present them to senior management as needed
  • Maintain strong relations with the client and all stakeholders
  • Analyse and manage risks to minimise negative effect on a project
  • Build and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors
  • Prepare and review comprehensive project documentation

Requirements

Daintta are a rapidly growing, values-driven team of specialists who work with government clients across Cyber Security, National Security, Law Enforcement, Telecommunications, Defence, Science and Technology. We are seeking a talented and motivated Systems Engineer or Technical Architect to join our team and contribute to our mission of protecting the UK by scoping, designing and delivering mission-critical solutions. In this role you will advise clients on technical delivery best practice and ensure that both Client and Daintta projects are delivered to conclusion., * Degree level educated or equivalent experience in a relevant technical domain

  • Strong technical ability and acumen to deep-dive into technical subject matter where appropriate
  • Experience of working within software, networking or cyber security domains
  • Experience of working in a Consultancy, large Systems Integrator or public sector organisation delivering complex products and services
  • Experience delivering projects as a to defence, government, national security or law enforcement organisations
  • Strong understanding of Engineering tools, standards, techniques and methodologies such as: delivery lifecycles including V-model, spiral and agile, technical risk management, system architectures, trading of technical options vs risk, cost & capability, requirements elicitation and management, modelling techniques, delivery assurance, IV&V, etc.
  • Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills
  • Outstanding organisational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, Due to the nature of this position, you must have and retain a minimum of SC clearance and be desirable to attain DV clearance. Strong preference is to hold an existing DV clearance. To qualify, as a minimum, you must be a British Citizen and have resided in the UK for the last 5 years.
