Requirements

8+ years in Cloud Engineering or DevOps, with 3+ years hands-on AWS Deep expertise in AWS core services, Kubernetes (EKS), Linux, and Docker Proven track record implementing controls aligned with PCI-DSS, SOC 2, or FFIEC Strong IaC experience (Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible) Current AWS certification(s)

Bonus points for FinTech or banking experience, and familiarity with ACH/EFT or real-time payment networks (RTP, FedNow).

About the company

A leading FinTech is in the final stretch of a multi-year cloud transformation - migrating mission-critical applications and data from on-premise to AWS - and is looking for a Staff Cloud Engineer to help bring it home. This is a high-impact role for someone who wants their work to matter. You'll lead the design, implementation, and optimization of cloud-native solutions that power systems millions of people rely on every day. You'll architect for resilience, drive cost optimization, and partner with Security and Compliance teams to ensure environments meet the highest regulatory standards (PCI-DSS, SOC 2, FFIEC). What you'll own: Architecting scalable, secure, and cost-effective AWS infrastructure (EC2, EKS, Lambda, RDS, S3, IAM) Driving Infrastructure as Code adoption with Terraform and modern CI/CD practices Leading disaster recovery design and ensuring high availability across critical systems Championing observability at scale (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Splunk) Leading root cause analysis and participating in a 24/7 on-call rotation Overseeing cloud vulnerability management and configuration programs
