Job description
An Infrastructure Engineer responsible for supporting virtualization and cloud-based initiatives, with a focus on onpremise systems, automation, and integrating development team source code into existing CI/CD pipelines. This role helps ensure smooth, reliable infrastructure operations and streamlined delivery processes across environments., Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions., Must comply with all company security and data protection / usage policies and procedures. Work Environment

Duties performed in an office environment and manufacturing facility.

Must be able to work overtime on and off-shifts as required.

The employee is on call 24x7 for the resolution of problems and issues.
Physical Demands

Employee is regularly required to sit, talk or hear, in person, in meetings and by telephone.

Manual dexterity to operate computers or other standard office equipment; and reach with hands and arms.

Able to support rack mounted equipment (up to 7 feet off the ground)
Requirements
-
Support CI/CD pipeline operations, including build automation, deployment processes, and automated testingnfrastructure as code IaC, Ansible, Terraform and packer.

Proficient in scripting languages like Python, PowerShell, or Bash for automating infrastructure tasks.

Understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and storage technologies (SAN, NAS) as they relate to virtual infrastructure.

Experience with Windows and Linux server administration

Strong, hands-on experience with major virtualization platforms such as VMware (vSphere, ESXi) or Microsoft Hyper-V.

Collaborate with security related roles within organization to generate required artifacts, develop documentation, and completion of security related checklists, such as STIGs.

Participate in capacity planning, performance tuning, and resource optimization

Assist with scripting and automation (PowerShell, Bash, Python) to streamline operational tasks
Qualifications and Education Requirements

B S degree required; B S degree in Engineering or Information Technology related field preferred

Proficient using Git
-
Practical experience in Agile Software Development environments preferred

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Knowledgeable in common web development technologies, such as CSS, JavaScript, and HTML

Preferred Skills

Familiarity with either C# or Java, which may be used for building applications that interact with the virtualized infrastructure

Experience with container technologies like Docker

Understanding of how to interact with and manage APIs (e.g., REST, GraphQL), including their role in connecting different systems and automating infrastructure tasks.

Experience with simulation product lifecycle

Experience integrating applications, services, or systems across diverse platforms, including configuring APIs, connectors, and automation workflows.
