job summary: A Data Center Commissioning Manager is needed for a leading EPC organization with a project near Childress, TX. The Data Center Commissioning Manager will oversee the critical transition from construction to live operations. You will lead the start-up process with a heavy emphasis on mechanical systems, ensuring the integrity and performance of high-density cooling infrastructure. Your primary responsibility is to validate that all mechanical systems meet the rigorous demands of modern AI-driven environments.
The ideal candidate possesses deep technical expertise in heavy mechanical systems and fluid dynamics, specifically regarding flushing and passivation protocols. A proven track record in large-scale data center environments is highly desired, but related experience will also be considered. This is a contract opportunity slated to last 12+ months, and Per Diem is available. location: Childress, Texas job type: Contract salary: $75 - 95 per hour work hours: 8am to 4pm education: High School
responsibilities:
- Direct the start-up and commissioning of critical infrastructure, focusing on high-density AI data center requirements
- Oversee mechanical flushing and passivation modes to ensure closed-loop system purity and longevity
- Manage the installation and testing of heat exchangers and specialized cooling loops utilizing L225 glycol mixtures
- Provide subject matter expertise on heavy mechanical equipment while coordinating with electrical teams for integrated system testing
- Develop and execute comprehensive commissioning scripts to ensure all systems operate within specified tolerances
- Interface with contractors and manufacturers to troubleshoot performance gaps during the critical start-up phase
