Job description
- Develop functional testing scenarios as well as detailed functional test cases
- Manage project deadlines, as well as your time and schedule in a fast-paced federal environment
- Review and generate complex test plans, generate test case data, build procedures and testing scripts based upon functional specifications
- Execute test cases, coordinate and execute tests, log and validate defects, debug and document
- Maintain DSTRs
- Define Level of effort for building test cases
- Assist test lead/manager to define and refine functional testing approaches, tools, automation and documentation
- Interact with Federal and contractor functional leads to clarify requirements and scenarios
- Assist the Federal and contractor resources to conduct User Acceptance Testing
- Respond to developers' questions regarding test results, bugs and defects
- Communicate frequently with customers and team members, facilitating discussions an exercising professional judgment as require
Requirements
- 6 years of IT Industry experience (Required)
- Should have experience in Agile methodology
- Ability to read and understand Functional, Technical architecture design documents and analyze test requirements
- Should have strong co-ordination, communication & reporting, analytical skills
- Experience in testing Java, .Net, Web, SOA, ETL based applications
- Prepare test data for various test cases/scenarios
- Exposure to multiple SDLC models like Waterfall, Iterative, and Agile models
- Strong skills in SQL, Oracle, MS-Access
- Intermediate understanding and experience with Unix and Windows
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, Bachelor's Degree in related field of study

This is a Contract position based out of Rockville, MD. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
