TheReliability & TestEngineeringTeam is responsible forverifyingandvalidatingthe thermal, electrical,and mechanicalreliabilityof components and systems throughout our product line. Our teamalsosupports field failure investigations and manufacturing change control.We are seeking a multi-facetedSr.Test Engineer to support our North Americadyno test operations.He/shewillbe responsible forall aspects of test execution, monitoring and reporting key findings on validation, durability, field failureinvestigations, and manufacturing change controltests. What You'll Do
- Executereliability testingwithvariousdrive unitprograms, ensuretimelyexecution of tests
- Maintain highdynotest uptimeand responsibleforproper routine maintenance
- Oversee andassistwith the set-up and execution ofthermal,electrical, andmechanicaltests
- Coordinatetest demands to meet the needs of multiple teams and programs
- Collect and interpret data from a variety ofdataacquisition systems
- Design and improvemechanical andelectrical equipment and infrastructure
- Conductfailure analysisfor designfailures by providingdetailedrisks assessments, test summaries,teardown reports, pictures,and data logs
- Debug and troubleshoottest equipment
- Work directly with reliability and design engineers for test planning activities (test scheduling, prioritization, specifications, etc.)
Requirements
- Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
- Excellent grasp of engineering fundamentals and first principles
- Experience withHigh-voltageelectrical systems (ACand DC) and CAN communications protocol
- Programming experience and an interest in scripting and automation, post-processing of large data sets(Python Preferred)
- Experiencewith instrumentation and data acquisitionsetupand configuration
- Strong senseof ownership, taking full accountability for assigned tasks, with the ability to adapt and change direction swiftly
- Collaborative mindset, recognizing the importance of teamwork within Tesla, andexhibitinga willingness to seekassistanceand provide support when necessary
- Knowledge of basicmechanical andelectrical tools (volt meters, oscilloscopes, power supplies)

Expected Compensation $91,600 - $195,600/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits
