Job description
Perform system administration and helpdesk type tasks under the supervision of a manager. The work includes installation, upgrades, repair and maintenance of servers, desktops, laptops, disconnected Local Area Networks (LANs) and networked resources attached to a Wide Area Network (WAN). Support for network backup systems, configuration support for user applications, troubleshooting and/or debugging network-related problems, inventory management and maintenance of the network's authorization infrastructure., * Perform system administration and helpdesk type tasks under the supervision of a manager.
- Supporting servers, desktop and laptop PCs
- Installation, upgrades, repair and maintenance of disconnected Local Area Networks (LANs) and networked resources attached to a Wide Area Network (WAN)
- Support for network backup systems (Veeam/Backup Exec)
- Configuration support for user applications
- IT asset management
- Rotational after-hours Patch Management (SCCM/MECM)
Requirements
- Ability to work well with technical and non-technical staff is required., * Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 6 years of prior related experience.
- Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience.
- In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.
- 6-8 years of expert experience with operating systems such as Windows Server 2019/2022/2025, Windows 10/11, Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8/9
- Advanced understanding and implementation of DISA System Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs)
- 6 -8 years of experience with GPO management and implementation
- Knowledgable experience with RHEL LDAP/AD authentication protocols and methodoligies
- Secret Clearance is required day 1
- Minimum DoD8140 Work Role 451-Intermediate certification (Cloud+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+, SSCP)
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Advanced knowledge of Veritas/Arctera Backup Exec or other backup technologies and methodologies
- Experience with TrueNAS storage technologies
- Experience with RedHat Satellite
- Experience with Ansible Tower
- Experience with SharePoint Administration/Development
- Web Application Management (Apache/Java)
- Very good written and verbal communication skills required.

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in California, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Washington, and the Greater D.C, Denver, or NYC areas is Min $102,000.00 - $189,000.00 Max. The salary range for this role in Colorado state, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New York state, Cleveland Ohio, and Vermont is $88,500.00 Min - $164,500.00 Max. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
