Network Engineer

This role involves installing and supporting networking technologies for a major infrastructure project. The Network Engineer will be responsible for managing and optimizing network infrastructure, including design, implementation, and operational support. This position focuses on enhancing existing network configurations and providing technical support and solutions.

Network Engineer - Responsibilities

• Install and support networking technologies
• Perform complex network engineering tasks
• Operate, monitor, and manage network infrastructure
• Design, implement, and manage network infrastructure
• Assess and recommend improvements for existing network configurations
• Configure equipment and software to meet business needs
• Provide technical support and assist with network solutions design
• Function as part of a team on larger projects or independently on smaller projects

• More than 5 years of experience in enterprise network IT infrastructure
• Experience with IP subnetting, Telnet/SSH Clients, and Cisco network software
• Proficiency with network monitoring and administration tools like SolarWinds and Splunk
• Experience with Cisco routers, Catalyst/Nexus switches, and F5 load balancers
• Knowledge of DHCP, DNS, routers, and firewalls
• Wireless network installation and maintenance experience
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills

Network Engineer - Nice-to-Have Skills

• Experience with ServiceNow and vendor support case handling
• Familiarity with Tivoli Netcool/Omnibus and Netscout Infinistream
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, including Visio for network diagramming
• Understanding of high-density WIFI solutions and industry best practices
• Experience with Raritan or Terminal Server Remote Access
