Sr. Software Engineer

A client of Insight Global is looking to hire a Sr. Software Engineer for their team. This team member will drive technical excellence and help build and modernize business-critical supply chain software . The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of relevant professional software development experience. They will enjoy working across the full stack and solving complex business problems with practical, reliable software. You will work across a variety of executive sponsored projects and business applications to help improve critical business functions. Applicants should have experience with .NET/C#, JavaScript, VueJS, HTML, Cloud, DevOps, Agile methodologies as well as all other required technologies. The role is onsite 5 days a week in Tampa, FL.

· 5+ years of relevant professional software development experience. · Strong full-stack development experience with JavaScript and/or Typescript and modern web application frameworks. Experience with HTML, CSS. · Production experience with Vue.js and/or React. · Hands-on backend development experience with C#, .NET Core, and ASP.NET Core. · Experience building backend APIs, business services, integrations, and data-driven application logic. Strong understanding of API design, authentication, authorization, validation, error handling, logging, and secure coding practices. · Strong understanding of relational databases, data modeling, queries, stored procedures, performance tuning, and application-level data access patterns.. · Comfortable working with Git-based workflows, pull requests, branching strategies, and code reviews. · Technical experience working in Agile or Scrum-style development environments. · Experience with unit, integration, or end-to-end testing as well as debugging, performance tuning, and production troubleshooting. · The ability to balance engineering quality with business priorities, operational urgency, and delivery timelines. Experience with strong technical documentation.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

· Experience with Azure Cloud Services and Azure DevOps. · Experience with AI Assisted Development tools such as GitHub Copilot and Azure AI tools. · Experience with Supply chain, purchasing, inventory, ERP, WMS, or order management systems. · Experience with Application Insights, Datadog, New Relic, or similar observability tools. · Experience with modernizing legacy .NET applications.
