Job description
As a DevOps Engineer you will contribute to design, development, testing and deployment of software systems and/or applications., Lead development and deployment of cloud infrastructure, primarily in AWS (80-90%) with increasing Azure involvement. Design and manage CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions. Develop and maintain infrastructure using AWS CloudFormation and Azure ARM templates. Collaborate with DevOps and Cloud Security engineers and development teams. Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and Senior leadership. Perform integrated and customer acceptance testing with a focus on quality and timely delivery. Provide off-shift and weekend support as needed. Promote best practices and continuous improvement within the team. Typical task breakdown:

Competent to perform all programming, project management, and development assignments without close supervision; normally assigned the more complex aspects of systems work.

Works independently on complex systems or infrastructure components that may be used by one or more applications or systems.

Requirements
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to join our Helios Platform team. This role is designed for a seasoned professional who can engage with Senior leadership and drive strategic cloud initiatives. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in AWS and Azure, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure as code, with a strong ability to work independently on complex systems., 8+ years of DevOps experience

5+ years of AWS or Azure cloud experience

Experience managing YAML-based continuous integration, continuous delivery systems (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, etc.).

Experience writing and deploying Amazon Web Services cloud infrastructure using AWS CloudFormation templates and/or Microsoft Azure cloud infrastructure using Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates. (Desired)

Associate or Professional-level AWS and/or Azure certifications related to DevOps, Development, or Architecture.

Strong background working with revision control systems (Git, etc.).

Experience performing root cause analysis on CI/CD pipelines.

Experience with IDE Tools (VSCode, Eclipse, Intellij, etc.).

This is a Contract position based out of Chicago, IL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $80.00/hr.
