L3Harris is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Embedded software engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Embedded software development and experience with C++, object-oriented design, and RTOS. This position involves design, implementation, verification and troubleshoot of Real Time Embedded software.
In this role, you will:
- Work closely with an Agile team of experienced software engineers on projects that involve the development and analysis of Real Time Embedded SW system.

Requirements
- Knowledge of Real Time operating systems (RTOS) and Embedded systems design.
- Development experience with the Linux OS
- Proficiency with C++ and C programming languages
- Proficiency with multi-threaded, multi-core, and Real Time operating systems
- Experience with object-oriented software development.
- Understanding of Design, Implementation, Integration and Testing of large software systems
- Experience with Embedded software emulators/debuggers
- Ability to collaborate effectively in a cross-functional team including hardware, software, and systems engineers.
- Ability to obtain a US Security Clearance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 0 - 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, there is a minimum of 6 years of prior related experience in Embedded Software or DSP.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Experience optimizing software for performance, power consumption, and memory usage on various hardware platforms.
- Experience using test equipment including oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and signal generators.
- Experience with radio communications including waveforms, modulations, coding schemes and digital signaling.
- Experience with communications security (COMSEC) and transmission security (TRANSEC) concepts and algorithms.
- Experience with software development using artificial intelligence.
Benefits & conditions
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in New York State is $73,000 - $136,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
