Worldwide Operations Security (WWOS) is hiring a Senior Manager, Technical Program Management to lead Video Solutions and Infrastructure within the Global Physical Security team. The mission of WWOS is to support Amazon's Worldwide Amazon Stores (WWAS), as well as affiliate and retail businesses, by creating and maintaining a work environment that is both prepared and secure through global security centers of excellence staffed by subject matter experts in people and asset protection., Develop and execute multi-year video infrastructure strategy aligned with WWOS objectives
- Lead evaluation and adoption of emerging video technologies on VMS, cloud-based solutions, and AI-powered analytics
- Drive vendor partnerships and contract negotiations to optimize cost and performance
- Define technical roadmaps for video management system standardization across 7,000+ global sites
- Manage deployment of video analytics solutions including computer vision, screening analytics, and automated monitoring systems
- Oversee video anonymization and privacy compliance initiatives across global regions
- Architect solutions integrating video systems with access control, intrusion detection, and security operations centers
- Develop frameworks for serverless AWS services migration and infrastructure automation
- Establish data warehouse integrations for video metadata and analytics
- Create technical specifications and deployment standards for video infrastructure
- Collaborate with Regional Policy & Compliance, Legal, and Privacy teams
- Influence senior leadership on strategic technology decisions
- Manage operational and capitalized budgets and ensure cost-effective program delivery
- Establish metrics and KPIs for video system performance and reliability
- Drive continuous improvement in deployment speed, system uptime, and cost efficiency
- Mentor and develop technical program managers on the team

Requirements
We are seeking a Senior Manager, Technical Program Management to lead the strategic development and deployment of video management systems, video analytics, and cloud-based video infrastructure across Amazon's global operations. This role requires working with regional teams on standardizing video solutions globally, development of video infrastructure frameworks, and staying apprised to the latest developments in the industry. The role will require coordinating and influencing many stakeholders across multiple geographies and organizations.
The ideal candidate for this job should be a self-starter who thrives in dynamic and innovative environments. They should be able to work efficiently and effectively under pressure, taking initiative to prioritize tasks and manage their own workload. Additionally, they should possess strong organizational skills, positively work through ambiguity and anticipate the needs of customers. Technical Cross-domain expertise is necessary to be successful in the security field. You are expected to be an expert, relative to your level, in the core sub-areas, 7+ years of people management experience
- 7+ years of technical program management experience
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field
- 7+ years of negotiations and vendor management experience
- Deep understanding of video management systems, camera technologies, and video analytics
- Experience managing large-scale technology deployments across global operations, Master's degree or equivalent
- 6+ years of security and loss prevention experience
- Experience with Milestone VMS, or other enterprise video management platforms
- Knowledge of video compression technologies (H.264, H.265, AV1 codec)
- Experience with computer vision and AI/ML applications in video analytics
- ASIS CPP or PSP certification
- Knowledge of CPTED (Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design) principles
- Understanding of privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA) as applied to video systems
- Track record of delivering $10M+ cost savings or avoidance initiatives
- Knowledge of video analytics and computer vision applications
- Understanding of physical security hardware and methodology
- Experience with implementation and maintenance of physical security systems
- Security management practices and compliance frameworks
- Experience in holistic, ergonomic, health & safety and end-to-end project considerations

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
