Job description
An established engineering services organization supporting federal and defense initiatives is seeking an experienced Model-Based Systems Engineer (MBSE) to contribute to advanced modeling, analytics, and simulation efforts. This role involves working on mission-critical programs that support national defense initiatives, collaborating with multidisciplinary engineering and software development teams. The position is fully onsite in Dayton, OH, and focuses on developing, maintaining, and enhancing system models and engineering artifacts for complex systems and systems-of-systems environments. You will play a key role in building structured models that support analysis, design, and decision-making processes., * Develop and maintain system models using MBSE methodologies
- Create architecture models and represent system behavior using SysML
- Collaborate with engineers, developers, and stakeholders to integrate modeling efforts
- Produce and present technical documentation and engineering artifacts
- Analyze system data to support design decisions and improve system performance

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related STEM field
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in systems engineering or MBSE
- Strong proficiency in SysML and MBSE tools such as Cameo, MagicDraw, Rhapsody, or Enterprise Architect
- Experience developing models and supporting artifacts for complex systems
- Active TS/SCI security clearance
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in collaborative environments, * Master's degree in an engineering discipline
- Industry certifications such as OCSMP, INCOSE CSEP, or PMP
- Familiarity with SysML 2.0
- Programming experience in Java, C++, or Python
- Experience with DoDAF, UAF, or other architecture frameworks
- Background in aerospace or defense systems
- Experience with modeling and simulation tools and methodologies
