Job description

FreeWheel is now executing a multi-cloud strategy, with significant testing and development underway on a new cloud platform. As a Sr. Software Engineer, you will play a key role in developing and supporting applications across multiple cloud environments, leveraging native cloud services while ensuring high availability, scalability, and performance.

This role blends both hands-on User Interface (UI) development with production support,

You will collaborate closely with internal engineering teams, vendors, and client services to drive automation, reliability, and operational excellence across large-scale distributed systems., * Design, analyze, and troubleshoot UI, API, Search systems

  • Troubleshoot large-scale distributed systems
  • Build applications that run across multiple cloud platforms, leveraging native cloud services
  • Automate routine operational tasks to improve efficiency and reliability
  • Provide production support, including monitoring, incident response, and root cause analysis
  • Support secure configurations, vulnerability remediation, and operational readiness
  • Participate in software release cycles, including planning, testing, deployment, and monitoring
  • Develop automation tools, scripts, and workflows to streamline processes
  • Partner with engineering teams to identify and implement process and platform improvements
  • Serve in a rotating on-call rotation, providing 12-hour coverage for one week per month to support production systems., * Understand our Operating Principles; make them the guidelines for how you do your job.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of professional software development experience

  • Strong backend development, coding, and debugging skills

  • Strong Proficiency in one or more of dynamic programming languages: Python/Go

  • Experience developing and debugging server-side applications or web services

  • Strong working expertise with cloud environments (AWS strongly preferred), including native services such as: EC2, S3, VPC, RDS, IAM

  • Working knowledge of CI/CD frameworks and orchestration such as: Jenkins, GIT, Kubernetes, Terraform, and/or Docker

  • Solid understanding of database structures and SQL

  • Exposure to infrastructure-as-code concepts, Bachelor's Degree

While possessing the stated degree is preferred, Comcast also may consider applicants who hold some combination of coursework and experience, or who have extensive related professional experience.

Benefits & conditions

Primary Location Pay Range: $129,515.93 - $194,273.89

This job can be performed in Denver Campus with a Pay Range of $129,515.93 - $203,525.03
