Job description
As our new VP, Technical Architecture, you will report to the EVP of DX and partner with diverse teams to design seamless order lifecycle experiences. You will develop expertise in distributed order management, inventory visibility, and fulfillment orchestration. You will work with clients across retail, manufacturing, and distribution to deliver recommendations that transform their order management capabilities.
You Will:

Provide expertise across order management technology including: Order Management Systems (OMS), Inventory Management, Warehouse Management, Returns/Exchanges, and Fulfillment Orchestration

Design order lifecycle strategies from cart abandonment through post-delivery customer service

Build relationships with supply chain, operations, and customer experience partners

Lead discovery sessions to map current state order flows and identify optimization opportunities

Develop requirements for real-time inventory visibility across channels and locations

Create strategies for distributed order management allowing ship-from-store, dropship, and cross-dock fulfillment

Design customer communication strategies throughout the order lifecycle
Requirements
-
8+ years of experience with order management systems OR supply chain technology consulting
-
Hands-on experience with OMS platforms from vendors like IBM Sterling, Manhattan, Fluent, or similar

Understanding of inventory management concepts: available-to-promise, allocation, safety stock

Experience with omnichannel fulfillment methods: BOPIS, curbside, ship-from-store

Knowledge of warehouse management systems and fulfillment center operations

Expert proficiency in process mapping and workflow documentation tools

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university

Ability to travel for clients up to 25%
Additional Qualifications:

Experience with order orchestration platforms and microservices architectures

Knowledge of returns management systems and reverse logistics

Understanding of global trade management and cross-border commerce

Experience with EDI and supply chain integration patterns

Familiarity with the latest fulfillment models (dark stores, micro-fulfillment)
Benefits & conditions
The annual base salary range for this position is $163,000-$263,000. Placement within the salary range is based on a variety of factors, including relevant experience, knowledge, skills, and other factors permitted by law. Additionally, this position is eligible for discretionary incentive compensation.
