Job description

We are seeking a Systems Engineer within the Undersea Systems Division to serve as a technical leader across system architecture, analysis, integration, and verification activities. This position supports a wide variety of underwater vehicles and unattended sensor systems and spans advanced to principal-level responsibilities. The ideal candidate balances hands-on technical execution with cross-functional leadership across the full system lifecycle and is comfortable working in complex undersea environments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering (Systems, Mechanical, Electrical, Software, Ocean), Computer Science, Physics, or Math. \n

  • 8 years of experience with subsea maritime systems or other integrated electro-mechanical systems \n

  • 8+ years of experience with leading integrated teams \n

  • Exposure to DoD technical program execution \n

  • U.S. Citizenship with ability to obtain a SECRET clearance\n \n, * Over 8 years leading design, development, and integration of complex subsea maritime systems \n

  • Experience with UUVs, deployed subsea systems, and underwater payloads \n

  • Hands-on experience with TEMPALT development, the TEMPALT approval process, ATO processes, and system safety analysis \n

  • Experience developing and coordinating system-level testing activities \n

  • Proven experience providing Technical Data Package oversight \n

  • Strong background performing FMEA and FMECA \n

  • Proven track record in product manufacturing and transitioning designs to production \n

  • Familiarity with ISO 9001:2015 and quality-focused engineering processes \n

  • Familiarity with vehicle software and control systems \n

  • Exposure to DoD program execution, including contract, financial, and subcontractor management \n

\n What You'll Do \n

  • Serve as a Systems Engineer, developing and maintaining system-level architectures, interfaces, and design artifacts across the program lifecycle. \n

  • Lead and support TEMPALT development, ATO packages, and system safety analyses, including coordination with program, cybersecurity, and safety stakeholders. \n

  • Develop system-level test strategies and plans, and coordinate verification and validation activities across multiple teams and test venues. \n

  • Provide Technical Data Package oversight, ensuring technical integrity, configuration control, and compliance with contractual and program requirements. \n

  • Perform and review reliability and safety analyses, including FMEA and FMECA, and ensure findings are appropriately mitigated and documented. \n

  • Apply Model-Based Systems Engineering practices using Cameo to support requirements, architecture, and traceability. \n

  • Collaborate across disciplines to integrate hardware, software, and control systems into cohesive system solutions. \n

  • Mentor and provide technical guidance to mid-level and junior systems engineers. \n
