Senior Developer

SAP America, Inc. seeks a Senior Developer at our Allen, TX location responsible for development focusing on design, coding, testing, quality assurance of complex product features in a development team.

Resolve complex issues within own area of expertise and support others in resolving issues. Show initiative and drive topics to resolution in a high level of quality, speed, reliability and efficiency. Work closely together with others and share expertise to ensure product success. Constantly improve own work methods to gain state-of-the-art agile software engineering skills. Enhance skills beyond own core functional focus and works on other tasks for the benefit of the team. Has advanced overall product and technical knowledge and shares expertise within and across team and organization. Has advanced knowledge of development processes and product standards., Compensation Range Transparency : The annual base salary range for this position is $156,998 - $195,976. SAP believes the value of pay transparency contributes towards an honest and supportive culture and is a significant step toward demonstrating SAP's commitment to pay equity. SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted combined range for this position is $156,998 - $222,700. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process. Any SAP variable incentive includes a targeted dollar amount and any actual payout amount is dependent on company and personal performance. Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Sciences, Information Technology, or a related field of study and six (6) years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or related occupation. Alternatively, a Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Sciences, Information Technology, or a related field of study and four (4) years of experience in the job offered or related occupation.

Qualifications/Skills and Competencies Experience:

Experience must include four (4) years involving each of the following:

• Software Development and Programming;

• Software Development concepts;

• Writing infrastructure as code using CloudFormation templates;

• Container technologies - Docker and SAP Kyma Clusters; and

• Efficient triage and managing of customer issues.

Experience must involve two (2) years in the following:

• Java, Spring, Python, Ansible and Bash;

• CI/CD tools - SAP Hyperspace, Jenkins and AWS Codebuild;

• SQL and T-SQL;

• AI and ML concepts and using generative AI models with SAP Joule;

• Developing and deploying applications in SAP BTP infrastructure; and

• Application performance monitoring using Dynatrace.
