Job description
In your role, you will ensure the high availability, stability, and security of enterprise Linux systems supporting mission-critical production environments. You will operate, maintain, and optimize Linux platforms, taking responsibility for OS and kernel patching, performance tuning, troubleshooting, and automation of operational processes. Working in close collaboration with global IT and infrastructure teams, you will contribute to reliable system operations, lifecycle management, and continuous improvement of enterprise computing environments., * Administer, maintain, and troubleshoot large-scale Linux environments (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu)
- Perform OS and kernel patching across production and non-production systems with minimal downtime
- Troubleshoot complex Linux issues, including boot failures, initramfs issues, filesystem corruption, OOM events, and performance degradation
- Perform deep-dive analysis of CPU, memory, disk I/O, and networking issues
- Handle production incidents, perform RCA, and implement permanent fixes
- Develop and maintain shell scripts for automation, health checks, and validations
- Collaborate closely with application, storage, and network teams

Requirements
- Degree in IT, Computer Science, or Network Engineering
- Proven experience in Linux system administration within enterprise environments
- Deep understanding of Linux internals, including the boot process, systemd, services, and process management
- Strong knowledge of memory management, OOM behavior, swap, and caching mechanisms
- Extensive experience with OS and kernel patching in production and mission-critical systems
- Proven ability to troubleshoot complex Linux issues under time-critical conditions
- Strong shell scripting skills (Bash) for automation and operational tasks
- Exposure to virtualization and container technologies such as VMware vSphere or Kubernetes is considered a plus
- Familiarity with automation or monitoring tools (e.g., Ansible, CheckMK) is an advantage
