  • Software Project Steering: Lead the end-to-end software development process (A-SPICE compliant) from requirements analysis to final validation and release
  • OEM Interface: Serve as the primary technical point of contact for BMW engineering teams. Ensure alignment with BMW-specific release cycles, I-Step management, and integration levels
  • Sub-supplier Management: Direct and monitor external software vendors. Define Work Packages (WPs), track KPIs, conduct technical reviews, and ensure their deliverables meet Tier-1 quality standards
  • Project Planning: Define software milestones, resource allocation, and risk mitigation strategies. Use Jira/Confluence to maintain a transparent, real-time project pulse
  • Quality & Compliance: Ensure software architecture and code adhere to MISRA standards and Functional Safety (ISO 26262) requirements
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with Hardware, Systems, and Validation teams to ensure seamless "Big Loop" integration Your profile

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field

  • 5+ years in Automotive Software Engineering, 2+ years in a Leadership/Lead role

  • Deep familiarity with BMW development processes (e.g., PRISMA, ALM, or specific BMW diagnostic/flash protocols)

  • Strong understanding of Embedded Linux, Android Automotive (AAOS), or QNX, knowledge of Adaptive AUTOSAR is a plus

  • Fluency in German and English is mandatory for stakeholder management

  • Strong negotiation skills for managing sub-suppliers and the ability to thrive under the pressure of SOP deadline You can expect ...
