The data science group within Leukocare is an international, agile, self-organized team that provides support to research and development (R&D) scientists and clients. We apply bioinformatics, biostatistics, and machine learning to address a broad variety of challenges that occur during biopharmaceutical drug development.

Your Tasks and Responsibilities

Develop software and machine-learning algorithms for internal use by scientists conducting biopharmaceutical formulation development

Conduct molecular modelling analyses of protein/peptide biopharmaceuticals and small molecule synthetic drugs to identify stability risks and other molecular liabilities

Provision of scientific advice to support commercial activities such as project acquisition

Supervision of bachelor and master students

Support in writing scientific publications and representing Leukocare at conferences

Maintenance of high software standards, including dockerization, documentation, testing, CI, code-review

Requirements

Master's degree or equivalent in Bioinformatics, Computational Chemistry, Structural Biology, Biophysics, Biochemistry or related field (PhD is a plus)

Excellent skills in python, pandas, and data analysis

Experience collaborating/communicating with scientists to analyse experimental data

Experience in working within cross-functional environment with the ability to turn complexity into clarity during conversations with non-subject matter experts is a plus

Experience with docker and development of machine learning models are a plus

Software development experience (pull-requests, ticket systems) is a plus

Experience with molecular modelling visualization tools or molecular dynamics is a plus (CCG MOE, Schrodinger, PyMol, Gromacs)

Experience with protein science or biopharmaceutical development is a plus

Motivated by working in a self-organized and independent fashion within an international and interdisciplinary environment

Science-based, diligent and customer-oriented and consider flexibility, proactiveness and effective communication as your strengths

Strong communication skills in English
