What You Will Do
Power BI Ownership & Daily Operations (Core Focus)

- Troubleshoot and resolve issues across data models, dataflows, refresh processes, workspace configurations, and user access.
- Improve and refine existing reports, dashboards, and DAX measures with a focus on clarity, consistency, and maintainability.
- Ensure documentation is kept up to date (models, DAX logic, dataflows, processes).
- Stakeholder Collaboration
- Work closely with business users to understand issues, clarify requirements, and iterate on improvements.
- Explain data logic, calculations, and report functionality in a clear, accessible way.
- Gather feedback and proactively suggest enhancements to drive adoption and data literacy.
- Continuous Improvement
- Apply best practices in Power BI modeling, DAX structure, and dataflows.
- Enhance usability, navigation, and the overall report user experience.
- Identify low-effort, high-impact opportunities to improve performance or simplify models.
Future-Focused
- Explore Microsoft Fabric, learning how future components (Dataflows Gen2, Lakehouse, Pipelines) fit into our roadmap.
- Experiment with Microsoft Copilot and other AI-assisted features to streamline analysis and content creation.
- Support early, small-scale AI-enhanced reporting or workflow improvements when appropriate.
Requirements
- Strong passion for Power BI
- Around 3 years of demonstrated experience building and maintaining Power BI reports and dashboards.
- Solid understanding of DAX and data modeling (star schema, relationships, calculation logic).
- Experience with Power Query (M) and Power BI dataflows.
- Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders and translate feedback into BI improvements.
- Analytical mindset and a proactive attitude toward issue resolution.
Nice to Have
- Experience with Power Automate for simple operational workflows.
- Exposure to or interest in Microsoft Fabric, AI-augmented analytics, Python or Copilot.
- Understanding of RLS, workspace governance, and version control (Git or Azure DevOps).
Who You Are
- You have a genuine enthusiasm for Power BI and enjoy learning new features and capabilities.
- You are curious, detail-oriented, and eager to deepen your BI expertise.
- You like solving problems and making things run smoothly.
- You are comfortable working with stakeholders, listening first, then proposing practical solutions.
- You want to grow-both technically and professionally-within a supportive BI team.
What We Offer
- A mature and thoughtfully designed Microsoft BI environment to work with.
- A supportive BI culture that values improvement, knowledge sharing, and innovation.
- Opportunities to develop your skills in Power BI, automation, governance, and future Fabric/AITools.
- Alongside Power BI best practices, you'll gain deeper insight into business and financial drivers, strengthening your ability to translate numbers into meaningful insight
- Hybrid work flexibility
