Google AI Gemini Developer / Full-Stack Engineer (Contract)Location: Northamptonshire Working Model: Hybrid (2 days onsite / 3 days remote)Contract Length: 6 monthsInterviews: Week commencing 4th May via Google MeetupStart Date: 18th or 25th May 2026Day Rate: £350-£400 per day Overview A PE-backed organisation based in Northamptonshire is seeking a Gemini-focused AI Developer to support the delivery of AI proof-of-concept initiatives. This role is ideal for mid-level developers with hands-on experience building solutions using Google AI / Gemini, who enjoy working closely with stakeholders in an on-site, collaborative environment. Due to the nature of the work, candidates must be willing to be on-site 2 days per week, Mondays and Tuesdays, in Northamptonshire, near Rugby and Daventry. Key Responsibilities

Design and deliver AI proofs of concept leveraging Google AI / Gemini
Build and integrate full-stack applications powered by Large Language Models (LLMs)
Develop systems that interact with Gemini APIs, alongside other LLMs such as ChatGPT and Claude
Implement AI-driven features, including prompt workflows, data processing, and system integrations
Develop AI automation for simple and repetitive tasks
Deploy and support AI solutions on Google Cloud infrastructure
Collaborate closely with on-site enterprise teams to rapidly prototype and iterate solutions

Requirements

Commercial experience as a Developer / Engineer / Programmer
Hands-on experience developing with Google AI / Gemini
Strong understanding of LLM integration patterns and API-based communication
Full-stack development experience (frontend and backend integration)
Experience working within cloud environments
Ability and willingness to work onsite in Northamptonshire, near Rugby and Daventry 2 days per week
