Job description

Job Title: Security Architect Location: Remote Duration: 6 Months Rate: £515/day (Inside IR35) Clearance: Eligible for BPSS Role Overview We are seeking an experienced Security Architect to define, govern, and assure enterprise-wide cyber security architecture across IT, cloud, OT, and emerging technology domains. Acting as a strategic design authority, you will align security architecture with business objectives, cyber strategy, and enterprise architecture principles. This is a strategic, non-operational role focused on influencing design, setting direction, and providing architectural guidance rather than hands-on delivery or BAU security operations. Key Responsibilities Security Strategy & Advisory Shape and evolve cyber security strategy and domain-specific sub-strategies (e.g. AI, identity, OT security, micro-segmentation) Provide expert guidance to programmes and stakeholders on security and technology decisions Contribute to governance forums, including AI and digital strategy discussionsArchitecture & Standards Define and maintain cyber security reference architectures, standards, and design patterns Ensure alignment across cloud, enterprise IT, and OT environments Oversee application portfolio management and security architecture governanceDesign Governance & Risk Act as a security authority within design and investment boards Provide risk-based architectural assessments and trade-off decisions Ensure solutions align with enterprise standards and risk appetiteEnterprise Architecture Leadership Lead cyber security input into the wider Enterprise Architecture function Contribute to EA governance, forums, and thought leadership (e.g. white papers)Stakeholder & Vendor Engagement Collaborate with internal teams across IT, OT, and business domains Engage with strategic vendors and advisory partners to inform roadmap decisionsCommunity & Leadership Support cyber awareness initiatives and internal communities

Requirements
