Job description
- Design, develop, and maintain front-end applications using React and modern JavaScript frameworks
- Work across the full software development lifecycle: design, coding, testing, defect resolution, and deployment
- Ensure work meets agreed quality, functionality, and delivery timelines
- Participate fully in Agile, sprint-based delivery, including planning, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives
- Build user interfaces that consume and integrate REST APIs
- Apply best practices around code quality, performance, accessibility, and progressive enhancement
- Support and mentor junior developers and contractors where appropriate
- Collaborate with back-end engineers and QA to deliver well-rounded solutions
- Contribute to shared standards, patterns, and continuous improvement across the team

Requirements
- Strong commercial experience with React
- Experience with modern JS frameworks including Remix and React Router
- In-depth knowledge of TypeScript and JavaScript
- Solid understanding of server-side rendering (SSR) and progressive enhancement
- Experience using the MUI React component library
- Strong experience building and consuming REST APIs
- Hands-on experience with end-to-end testing, ideally using Playwright
- Experience working in Agile / Scrum teams
- A good understanding of software design, implementation and deployment principles
- Detail-oriented, quality-focused with strong time-management and prioritisation skills
