Front End Developer

• Design, develop, and maintain front-end applications using React and modern JavaScript frameworks
• Work across the full software development lifecycle: design, coding, testing, defect resolution, and deployment
• Ensure work meets agreed quality, functionality, and delivery timelines
• Participate fully in Agile, sprint-based delivery, including planning, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives
• Build user interfaces that consume and integrate REST APIs
• Apply best practices around code quality, performance, accessibility, and progressive enhancement
• Support and mentor junior developers and contractors where appropriate
• Collaborate with back-end engineers and QA to deliver well-rounded solutions
• Contribute to shared standards, patterns, and continuous improvement across the team

• Strong commercial experience with React
• Experience with modern JS frameworks including Remix and React Router
• In-depth knowledge of TypeScript and JavaScript
• Solid understanding of server-side rendering (SSR) and progressive enhancement
• Experience using the MUI React component library
• Strong experience building and consuming REST APIs
• Hands-on experience with end-to-end testing, ideally using Playwright
• Experience working in Agile / Scrum teams
• A good understanding of software design, implementation and deployment principles
• Detail-oriented, quality-focused with strong time-management and prioritisation skills
