Job description

BYD Electronics is seeking a Technical Program Manager (TPM) to support the development and delivery of power supply solutions for data center customers. This role will serve as the key interface between our engineering teams and the customer's infrastructure teams to ensure successful integration, deployment, and performance of power systems.

The TPM will manage cross-functional programs involving power electronics design, manufacturing, and customer technical support, ensuring products are delivered on schedule and meet customer performance and reliability requirements.

Key ResponsibilitiesCustomer Technical Interface

  • Serve as the primary technical contact for customers regarding power supply products.
  • Work closely with customer engineering teams to understand system power requirements, specifications, and integration needs.
  • Provide technical support during product integration, validation, and deployment.

Program Management

  • Lead end-to-end program management from product development through production ramp and customer deployment.
  • Develop and maintain program schedules, milestones, and deliverables.
  • Track risks, issues, and dependencies to ensure timely project completion.

Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Coordinate internal teams including power electronics engineering, mechanical design, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain.
  • Support design reviews, engineering validation tests (EVT/DVT/PVT), and customer qualification processes.
  • Ensure alignment between product design, testing, and production readiness.

Data Center Power Integration Support

  • Support customers with system-level power integration, including power distribution and redundancy requirements.
  • Assist in troubleshooting power-related issues during testing or deployment.
  • Analyze performance data and provide recommendations for optimization.

Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain program documentation including technical specifications, schedules, change requests, and customer reports.
  • Provide regular status updates to internal leadership and customers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.

  • 5+ years of experience in program management, engineering, or technical project management within hardware or power electronics industries.

  • Experience with power supply systems, AC-DC or DC-DC converters, power modules, or power distribution units (PDUs).

  • Experience working with OEM customers or enterprise clients.

  • Strong project management, communication, and stakeholder coordination skills.

  • Experience supporting data center infrastructure, server platforms, or high-power computing systems.

  • Familiarity with New Product Introduction and manufacturing processes.

  • Knowledge of power system reliability, efficiency, and redundancy design.

  • Experience with program management tools such as JIRA, Smartsheet, or MS Project.

  • Bilingual in Mandarin .
