Job description
In this contingent resource assignment, you will contribute to complex, large-scale software engineering initiatives with broad organizational impact. You will analyze and address multi-dimensional engineering challenges that require sound judgment, technical depth, and consideration of both tangible and intangible factors. You will collaborate closely with client stakeholders to deliver scalable, compliant, and high-quality solutions aligned with business objectives. Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain Python-based applications deployed on Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform).
- Build, maintain, and optimize data processing pipelines and workflows.
- Develop and manage DAG-based orchestration solutions (e.g., Apache Airflow or similar tools).
- Model, query, and optimize large datasets using BigQuery.
- Analyze complex software engineering challenges and contribute to well-reasoned technical solutions.
- Ensure solutions meet functional, policy, procedural, and compliance requirements.
- Collaborate strategically with engineering, data, and client teams to deliver reliable and scalable systems.
Requirements
- 5+ years of software engineering experience, or equivalent practical experience gained through work, consulting, military service, training, or education.
- Strong proficiency in Python and experience building production-grade applications.
- Hands-on experience deploying and operating applications on Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform).
- Demonstrated expertise with BigQuery, including complex queries, data modeling, and performance optimization.
- Experience designing and maintaining data processing systems and ETL pipelines.
- Proven experience building and managing DAG-based workflows using orchestration tools such as Airflow.
