Data Governance Engineer (Microsoft Purview)

We are seeking a Senior Data Governance Engineer with strong hands-on experience in Microsoft Purview to design, implement, and manage enterprise data governance solutions. The role focuses on metadata management, data quality, lineage, and governance automation across cloud data environments., Assessment & Planning

• Maintain and enhance existing Purview implementations
• Troubleshoot issues related to scanning, lineage, and metadata
• Develop automation using Purview REST APIs and SDKs
• Implement and manage data quality rules, profiling, and monitoring

Deployment & Enablement

• Configure Purview workflows for governance and approvals
• Build dashboards and reports using Purview data
• Enable AI-driven insights and governance automation

Integration & Optimization

• Integrate Purview with Azure and AWS data platforms
• Collaborate with data engineering and governance teams
• Present technical solutions to stakeholders

• 5+ years of experience in:

• Data Engineering / Analytics Engineering / Data Governance

3+ years of hands-on experience with:

• Microsoft Purview (Mandatory)

Strong expertise in:

• Purview components:

• Collections

• Scanners

• Metadata Catalog

• Data Classification

• Glossary

• Data Lineage

Experience with:

• Data governance frameworks and best practices
• Metadata management and data quality

Strong knowledge of:

• Azure data services
• Exposure to AWS data ecosystem

Proficiency in:

• Python
• REST APIs / SDK-based automation, * Experience with Microsoft Fabric reporting
• Strong understanding of enterprise data governance models
