Job description

U.S. Bank is seeking an accomplished IT Operations Manager to contribute to the success of our technology initiatives. This role is responsible for leading vulnerability operations within the Employee Technology Experience (ETE) organization, with a focus on operational efficiency, modernization, and continuous improvement in a complex, multi-platform enterprise environment.

The successful candidate will provide leadership and direction to teams responsible for vulnerability remediation and endpoint operational processes, helping modernize how work is planned, executed, and measured. This leader will partner closely with technology, security, and platform teams to improve outcomes through improved processes, automation, and effective use of modern tools and capabilities. Legacy processes are simplified, automated, or removed, operational teams demonstrate measurable improvements in efficiency and consistency, leadership has improved visibility into vulnerability and operational health, and vulnerabilities are remediated more quickly and effectively, reducing risk to systems and employees.

  • Lead efforts to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and duplicated work across vulnerability and endpoint operations
  • Redesign workflows to improve speed, quality, scalability, and transparency
  • Establish and monitor operational metrics focused on outcomes and risk reduction
  • Partner with operational leaders to embed improved processes into day-to-day execution

Modernization & Automation

  • Champion modernization efforts that shift teams from manual, reactive work toward automated, outcome-driven operations
  • Identify opportunities to leverage automation and emerging technologies to improve vulnerability remediation and operational effectiveness
  • Partner with engineering and platform teams to deliver sustainable, enterprise-aligned solutions

Microsoft & Endpoint Technology Partnership

  • Leverage strong knowledge of Microsoft and endpoint ecosystems to improve lifecycle management and system stability
  • Collaborate with endpoint, security, and platform teams to improve supportability and user experience
  • Ensure vulnerability considerations are incorporated into technology and operational decisions

Governance & Communication

  • Provide clear communication on strategy, progress, risks, and outcomes to stakeholders and leadership
  • Establish governance practices that balance speed, accountability, and compliance
  • Act as a connector across teams to surface systemic issues and enable timely resolution

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
  • At least 7 years of experience in technology operations, IT service management, or enterprise production environments
  • Experience supporting or managing production systems in a large-scale, complex environment
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams, prioritize work, and deliver results aligned to business objectives

Preferred Skills/Experience

  • Experience modernizing or improving legacy operational processes
  • Working knowledge of vulnerability management, endpoint operations, or information security practices
  • Experience with Microsoft technologies and endpoint management platforms (e.g., Intune or similar tools)
  • Familiarity with IT service management concepts, including incident, problem, and change management
  • Experience applying automation or process improvement techniques to reduce manual effort and operational risk
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage technical teams and senior leadership

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $111,605.00 - $131,300.00
