The Applied AI team collaborates with product teams across Uber to deliver innovative AI solutions for core business problems. We are looking for a strong iOS mobile engineer to be a part of a high-impact team at the intersection of distributed system and generative AI. In this role, you'll be responsible for delivering the UX for Uber's next wave of intelligent experiences by building novel Agentic user experiences for Riders and Eaters.

---- What the Candidate Will Do ----

1. Design and build high-quality iOS mobile features across product and platform surfaces to support personalization and agentic experiences
2. Collaborate with backend, design, data, and product partners to deliver end-to-end solutions
3. Contribute to mobile architecture, performance, and reliability improvements
4. Write well-tested, maintainable code and participate in code and design reviews
5. Serve as a go-to engineer for breaking down ambiguous problems into clear technical tasks

1. 5+ years of experience developing mobile applications using Swift, Objective-C, Kotlin.
2. Strong understanding of mobile frameworks, app architecture, and mobile design patterns
3. Experience shipping and maintaining large-scale consumer-facing mobile applications
4. Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
5. Proven ability to collaborate effectively as a team player.

1. Strong foundation in data structures and algorithms applied to mobile development
2. Experience collaborating closely with backend teams on API design and system integration
3. Familiarity with experimentation, analytics, and performance optimization on mobile

For San Francisco, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$202,000 per year - USD$224,000 per year. For Sunnyvale, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$202,000 per year - USD$224,000 per year. For all US locations, you will be eligible to participate in Uber's bonus program, and may be offered an equity award & other types of comp.
