Job description

Software Developer w/ DevOps / Machine Learning/ AI expertise- Hybrid onsite in Ashburn, VA, Ellumen is a technology-focused company providing next-generation solutions to government clients. We are seeking an experienced Software Developer to support a software development implementation project., DevOps Responsibilities (Must-Have): · Experience with the implementation of DevOps practices for the deployment of JSM and Confluence in a DoD environment. · Support the deployment and management of system monitoring solutions using AWS managed OpenSearch or Splunk across a suite of applications in potentially asymmetrical and/or low connectivity environments. · Coordinate and manage the AWS cloud infrastructure deployments, ensuring optimal configuration, security, and performance whether in Cloud One/GovCloud; which may be greenfield or established instances · Ensure seamless integration and administration of JSM and Confluence, whether deploying in a greenfield environment or integrating with existing systems. · Collaborate with stakeholders to understand access levels and operational constraints, adapting solutions to fit within given parameters. · Mentor and train team members on best practices in DevOps and system monitoring · Please note that the duties listed above are not exhaustive, and the successful candidate may be required to perform additional tasks as needed. MLOps and AI Ops Responsibilities (Nice-to-Have): · Experience with the development of CI/CD pipelines for next generation help desk solutions utilizing AI/ML to automate, preempt, and streamline service desk operations.

Requirements

You will take on the task of development and deployment of an innovative service desk solution using AI solutions to improve user experience and reduce ticket-resolution times, as well as implementing an advanced monitoring solution capable of identifying performance issues across a suite of government applications using either AWS-managed OpenSearch or Splunk.

The ideal candidate will have extensive expertise in cloud and local DevOps, AWS services, system monitoring, and operations support. Experience in MLOps and AI Ops is a significant advantage but not mandatory.

US Citizenship and Federal Clearance required., DevOps Qualifications (Must-Have): · Proven experience in DevOps for both cloud (AWS) and on-premises environments. · Expertise in AWS services, including EKS, ECS, S3, Lambda, RDS, VPC, and IAM. · Strong knowledge of JSM and Confluence Data Center deployment and administration · Proficiency in system monitoring tools such as OpenSearch and Splunk. · Experience with Kubernetes deployment and administration · Experience primarily with Terraform and/or Tofu, Terragrunt or similar IaC tools · Experience with CI/CD tools, particularly Jenkins and Gitlab · Valid Security+ CE certification (or earned within 3 months of employment)

MLOps and AI Ops Qualifications (Nice-to-Have): · Experience in AI/ML and MLOps practices, with a focus on automation and intelligent operations. · Familiarity with tools and technologies such as NLP, RPA, predictive analytics, and anomaly detection. · Interest or experience in AI Ops and advanced automation solutions., · Operational expertise in supporting IT service desks. · Experience with Cloud One/GovCloud deployments. · Previous experience working with DoD or other government clients. · Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. · Strong communication and collaboration skills., · Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as part of a team. · Strong leadership and organizational skills. · Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously. · Detail-oriented with a focus on delivering high-quality results. · Willingness to continuously learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies.
