Job description
- Process and evaluate data related to sales inquiry to develop concept for machine or system design.
- Make recommendations for alternate designs if applicable.
- Collaborate with other applications team members in the development of creative solutions.
- Coordinate with multiple outside vendors to procure quotations for equipment to be sourced for the machine or system design.
- Gather cost data from historical records and equipment vendors to create cost workbooks.
- Review P&L on product lines to propose updates to pricing and/or options
- Participate in pre-sale design reviews and customer sales presentations with Sales Representatives (Up to 15% travel possible).
- Communicate with Inside and Outside Sales, customers, and prospects to provide product line, technical and commercial information necessary to obtain orders.
- Assist in the new order process, which includes order kickoff, concept reviews, design reviews and post shipment reviews.
- Prepare Proposals, Process Diagrams, and costing summaries
- Other tasks assigned by supervisor.

Our engineers partner closely not only with our customers, but also with peers across sales, manufacturing, and assembly., * 2 - 5 years in Inside Technical Sales, Project Engineering, Machine Design, or similar background preferred.
- 2-year technical degree, BS or BA degree in Engineering preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
- High level of aptitude in Electrical and Mechanical Design.
- Good organization and planning skills.
- Ability to handle multiple projects and priorities at the same time.
- Leadership skills, team player, timeline driven.
- Experience working in AutoCAD is required.
- SolidWorks experience is a plus.
- Previous experience in Engineered to Order industries is highly desired
