Job description
You will contribute to all aspects of GS1 Vehicle Design by coordinating between subsystems to create optimal structural, mechanical, fluids, and electrical solutions. Your responsibilities include configuration management, system-level trade studies, change request processing, and managing multiple concurrent vehicle configurations to support material planning., Applicants for employment at Blue Origin must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e. current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S.as a refugee or granted asylum.

- Required for Certain Job Profiles: Drivers who operate Commercial Motor Vehicles with a Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW), Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) or combination of power unit and trailer that meets or exceeds 10,001 lbs. and/or transports placardable amounts of hazardous materials by ground in any vehicle on a public road while in commerce, may be subject to additional Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations including: Driver Qualification Files, Medical Certification (obtained before onboarding), Road Test, Hours of Service, Drug and Alcohol Testing (CDL drivers only), vehicle inspection requirements, CDL requirements (if applicable) and hazardous materials transportation/shipping training.
- Required for certain Job Profiles: Ability to obtain and maintain Merchant Mariner Credential, which includes pre-employment and random drug testing as well as DOT physical
Requirements

Passion for our mission is essential!, * B.S. in engineering with 5+ years of aerospace vehicle structures/systems development experience
- Experience managing complex engineering changes across multiple production vehicles
- Proficiency with effectivity and product structure management within CAD and PLM systems
- Experience with system-level trade studies and design optimization
- Strong cross-functional teamwork and communication skills
- Proficiency with 3D CAD software and visualization tools
- Knowledge of scheduling and planning principles
- Strong GD&T skills and tolerance stack-up analysis experience
- Experience participating in drawing and design reviews, * Configuration management training (CMII)
- Aerospace design, fabrication, and assembly knowledge
- Ability to translate high-level requirements into design solutions
- Experience with design for cost, manufacturability, and assembly
- Experience providing design guidance to technical teams
- Strong competency in PTC Creo and Windchill
- Ability to conduct interference
