Job description

As an Enterprise Architect, you will work with domain experts to develop architectures for areas like Operations, SCADA/Measurement, Commercial, Finance, Corporate, Infrastructure, and Networking. These efforts aim to optimize business processes and drive transformation through system integration, data alignment, enterprise-wide technologies, IT governance, and thought leadership. You will analyze the IT application portfolio and data landscape to identify duplication, gaps, technical debt, risks, and opportunities for integration and new technologies. Your role will help translate business strategy into capabilities and future state architectures to achieve strategic outcomes., * Provides technical governance with the facilitation of the creation/modification of technical standards, models, application tiers, and reference architectures

  • Leads technical consulting and collaborates with development teams to facilitate solution design and drive roadmap-aligned architecture enhancements and improvements
  • Translates business requirements into repeatable design strategies, systems qualities and patterns
  • Develops current and target state architecture blueprints with transition roadmaps and incremental architectural sequencing
  • Researches, evaluates, and recommends technologies and standards aligned with current and future Williams strategies to maintain a competitive advantage
  • Serves as a trusted advisor to IT and business leadership, focusing on technology enablement for business capabilities while fostering collaboration and alignment between technical teams and stakeholders
  • Develops system data flows for large cross domain projects focusing on business processes, data flows, and integration standards
  • Other duties as assigned, * Hybrid work schedule: 4 days in-office and 1 day remote weekly
  • On-call as needed to deal with critical incidents and outages
  • Less than 20% travel required

Requirements

  • Required: Bachelor's degree in IT related field; a minimum ten (10) years' developing software systems and IT experience
  • Preferred: Minimum of twelve (12) years' experience and prior oil/gas industry experience, * Exhibits strong analytical and data analysis capabilities, supported by excellent planning and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrates proficient knowledge of architecture principles, frameworks, and standards, with experience designing and maintaining large-scale projects
  • Possesses broad working knowledge of IT domains, including infrastructure and operations, data centers, databases, networking, and security standards
  • Demonstrates effective leadership and consulting skills, with strong interpersonal capabilities including teamwork, facilitation, negotiation, targeted communication, stakeholder engagement, and internal partner management
  • Applies awareness of existing, emerging, and new technologies, with proficient knowledge of scripting concepts and how scripts operate
  • Demonstrates experience with application portfolio management and rationalization, supported by knowledge of application and interface design and modern architectural patterns such as SOA, APIs, microservices, and event-driven architectures
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications particularly Visio and PowerPoint to build, modify, and present sophisticated technical architectural diagrams and presentations
  • Knowledge of business ecosystems, SaaS, IaaS, PaaS, SOA, APIs, microservices, event-driven IT, and predictive analytics
