Job description
As Sr. Database Engineer I (Security Focus), you'll design, deploy, and sustain secure database environments that support enterprise security platforms, analytics, and SIEM capabilities in classified, mission-critical systems. This role partners with cybersecurity, SIEM, and infrastructure teams to support enclave-based data migrations, optimize high-volume log and telemetry pipelines, and ensure resilient backup and recovery. The ideal candidate has strong experience with relational and NoSQL databases, performance tuning for large-scale security data, and implementing encryption and access controls in TS/SCI environments under federal compliance requirements., * Design, deploy, and maintain databases supporting security platforms and analytics systems
- Optimize database performance for high-volume log ingestion and querying
- Support migration of security data from shared systems into enclave-specific databases
- Implement backup, recovery, and data integrity processes in classified environments
- Enforce database security controls, including encryption and access management
- Collaborate with SIEM teams to ensure proper data ingestion, normalization, and retention
Requirements
- Active TS/SCI clearance
- 5+ years of experience as a database engineer
- Strong experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch)
- Experience supporting large-scale data environments (log aggregation, telemetry, event data)
- Knowledge of database performance tuning and optimization
- Experience implementing encryption at rest and in transit
- Understanding of data retention policies and compliance requirements
- Familiarity with Linux-based database environments
SALARY RANGE: $138,000 - $162,000
The salary range for this position is determined based on qualifications, skills, and relevant experience. The final salary offered will be determined based on several factors including:

- The specific responsibilities of the role and organizational needs
- Internal equity and alignment with current team compensation
