Job description
Develop and maintain financial reporting frameworks for AWS Infrastructure operating expenses (OpEx), including tracking actual spend against plan, analyzing variances, and delivering narratives and analysis of AWS Infrastructure OpEx to senior leadership

Lead analysis of infrastructure OpEx cost structures, including costs of AI platforms, to support business decision-making

Partner with finance teams across AWS to streamline and automate processes, remove roadblocks, and increase the reliability and efficiency of reporting

Support ad-hoc requests from finance and business executives
A day in the life In this role, you will be the AWS Infrastructure OpEx subject matter expert and will lead the analysis, consolidation, and presentation of AWS financials to senior leadership. This includes developing and implementing efficient data analysis and consolidation mechanisms, summarizing key business insights for both business and finance stakeholders, and innovating new frameworks to enhance decision-making.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science), or Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of quantitative role (engineering, process re-engineering, quality assurance) experience
- 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience, 5+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience
- 5+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience
- Experience in building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making
- Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results
- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
- MBA, or CPA

Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
