Job description

As a DevOps / Platform Engineer, you may contribute to a subset of the following areas, depending on team alignment:

CI/CD, Automation & Tooling

  • Build, maintain, and improve CI/CD pipelines for AI, platform, and application teams

  • Implement automation to reduce manual work and increase consistency

  • Contribute to infrastructureascode development for cloud and hybrid environments

Platform & Infrastructure Engineering

  • Support the deployment and operation of infrastructure on Azure and Kubernetes

  • Help build and maintain hybrid environments spanning device, edge, and cloud

  • Assist in operating platform services that support AI inference, data pipelines, and core services

Observability & Telemetry

  • Implement and maintain monitoring, logging, and tracing using tools such as OpenTelemetry and Grafana

  • Help ensure telemetry is accurate and useful for diagnosing issues

  • Build and update dashboards that reflect system health and performance

Deployment & Release Support

  • Support reliable deployment workflows and release processes

  • Assist with staged rollouts, canaries, and rollback procedures

  • Help improve deployment consistency and safety across environments

Collaboration & Engineering Practices

  • Work closely with SRE, AI/ML, security, firmware, and product engineering teams

  • Participate in design and implementation discussions with a focus on operability and automation

  • Help apply platform engineering standards and best practices, The base salary budgeted range for this position is $120K - $150K. Individuals may also be considered for bonus and/or commission. Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, Cloud Engineering, or related roles

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience)

  • Experience building or operating infrastructure in Azure, AWS, or GCP

  • Handson experience with CI/CD systems and deployment pipelines

  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, ARM/Bicep, CloudFormation, etc.)

  • Proficiency in scripting or programming (Python, Go, Bash, or similar)

  • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes

  • Experience with observability fundamentals (metrics, logs, tracing)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with Azure cloud services and DevOps tooling

  • Familiarity with OpenTelemetry, Grafana, Prometheus, Loki, or similar tools

  • Exposure to AI/ML systems or dataintensive workloads

  • Experience contributing to production operations or oncall rotations

  • Interest in automation, platform reliability, and developer experience

As part of this vision, we are expanding the engineering organization supporting Qira, Lenovo's crossdevice Personal AI. We are hiring DevOps / Platform Engineers to help build, operate, and improve the automation, infrastructure, and platforms that enable reliable and scalable delivery of Qira's AI systems across device, edge, and cloud. Depending on experience and interest, this role may support areas such as Platform Engineering, Observability, Operations, or Service Reliability.
