Job description

Our team provides analysis of complex statistical and business data to inform strategic business planning and for the development of specific service strategies. This includes developing effective and efficient systems and methods for the timely collection, processing and dissemination of statistics, in accordance with legislative requirements and relevant statistical Codes of Practice.

As a Data Analytics Engineer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy of workforce data reporting, maintaining operational efficiency, and supporting innovation in analytics and reporting across the organisation.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Completing complex data queries
  • Responding to Freedom of Information requests
  • Supporting statutory reporting
  • Ensuring data compliance with regulations such as GDPR

You will also collaborate with teams across the organisation to validate data, automate processes, and improve reporting tools and outputs.

Requirements

This role is ideal for someone with strong analytical skills and a passion for data integrity and innovation., * Excellent IT skills including FME, SQL (Python Elements), Tableau, SAP or PowerBI

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to build sound relationships with customers, adapting styles to different situations
  • High level administrative/organisational and analytical skills
  • Ability to manage a range of projects through to completion
  • Professional business qualification to NVQ Level 4, or able to evidence knowledge and understanding of appropriate business disciplines; willingness to study for a relevant professional qualification if appropriate

Benefits & conditions

This role has a starting salary of £36,873 per annum, based on a 36 hour working week.

We are excited to be hiring a new Data Analytics Engineer to join our fantastic team is based at Dakota House in Weybridge.

This role is open to hybrid working and as a team we split our time between collaborating with colleagues in the office for two days per week and working from home.
